Blair Hrankowsky

Hello!  I am Blair Hranowsky, teacher for the Child Development Blend classroom.  This is my 6th year at Laurel Hill Primary School.
I graduated from Radford University in Virginia with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education, and a minor in Human Development.  I taught 8 years of special education self-contained preschool before moving to the low-country in 2012.  Upon moving to SC, I was an early interventionist for Dorchester Board of Disabilities and worked in-home providing training for infants and toddlers and their families.  In 2013, I came to Laurel Hill as the self-contained special education teacher for K-2.  This is my third year back in preschool, as child development is my first love and I am so excited to teach our littlest learners.  I am also currently working toward my certification to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and have joined the University of Florida's Lastinger Center Community of Practice to increase leadership skills for school reform.
I have two beautiful step-children; Loulou, age 16, and Sasha, age 12.  My husband is a chef and enjoys coming to the classroom to cook with the kids!  We have a dog named Coco (the kids will hear a lot about our silly pup!) and a funny cat named Cat.  We love to go the beach, play games (Monopoly is currently our favorite), ride bikes, treasure hunt, rock climb, and go on adventures.
