Julie AllanAbout  Me
I have been teaching for 24 years in the Charleston County School district.  The first seven years in Kindergarten, the remaining up to current in First Grade.  I have a Master's degree plus 30 from The College of Charleston and have many hours past that in post graduate work.  I also have earned National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist.
I am passionate about gardening and head up the Laurel Hill Garden. I love dogs and reading and have completed 7 marathons including events in Paris, London and Dublin.  I have two wonderful parents. My father a retired army colonel and also worked 20+ years for Computer Sciences  Corporation. My mother was a full time mom and volunteer while I grew up and when I was in college got her graduate degree in paralegal at George Washington University.  She worked in a D.C. law firm for several years before going back to full time volunteer work. They live outside of Washington D.C. and are active in Rotary International. I live with my wonderful golden retriever mix rescue dogs, Ella and Lucky.
